Boathouse on the Salish Sea
Scroll

Working within the architectural design by PBW Architects, LeeAnn Baker Interiors furnished a contemporary boathouse retreat for long-term clients at their Orcas Island vacation home. Nestled at the water’s edge, the one-room structure features a striking ceiling that angles upward in two directions, drawing the eye toward breathtaking Eastsound views.
Expansive sliding glass doors open at the corner, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces. The deck, leading to the dock, is perfect for summer entertaining. Inside, a custom sectional provides a cozy spot to enjoy both the fireplace and the serene water views.
Thoughtful details enhance both form and function—open-net dining chairs offer transparency and comfort for dining, working, or game nights. Curated artwork and sculptural furnishings bring warmth and vibrancy without distracting from the panoramic vistas. Durable, textured finishes and low-maintenance materials ensure this retreat remains a welcoming, worry-free haven for family, friends, and pets.
